For string bass players of
all
ages and all  levels of experience
You want to improve your bass playing? 
This is event!

1)   Hear performances by professional string bass players.

2)  Get valuable tips for improving your 1) left hand shape and shifting  2) right hand bowing to get a better sound
     3) intonation (learning to play in tune).

3)  Master classes in which a few Festival participants receive individual instruction from one of the Festival Clinicians. 
     All other festival participants learn a lot from observing these open lessons. 
     Lesson slots are limited.   See below.

4)  High school bass players going to Weekend for Strings in November 2006 or Allstate
     Orchestra
in February 2007 will get valuable help in what to practice in order to
     play a good live chair seating audition.   
     Learn how to make a winning audition tape.

5)   Everybody loves to play in the MONSTER BASS ENSEMBLE !!!
            Imagine: 40+ bass players playing together!!!  
                   This is lots of fun
, and we get to play real melodies and perform a concert!!

   One year, MONSTER BASS ENSEMBLE had over 50 bass players!

6)   It's great to finally realize that there are tons of other bass players our there.
        Enjoy
hanging out with lots of cool bass players during our PIZZA lunch.
